About Me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (126089) providing individual psychotherapy for adults. I have been working as a psychotherapist for more than six years and in the helping profession for more than ten. In 2015 I graduated with a Masters in Counseling Psychology from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, California. My experience includes work in suicide prevention and with LGBTQ+ individuals.
I am white, queer, trans, and able-bodied. In order for therapy to be helpful, it is important that we can discuss our similarities and our differences. In my work as a therapist, I prioritize the dignity of my clients and make space for addressing the impact of systemic oppression and white supremacy on mental health.
As a psychodynamic therapist, I approach therapy as an open-ended and frequently long-term process. I view mental health through the lens of unconscious processes influenced by early childhood experiences, and I utilize the therapeutic relationship as a primary tool for change.
At this time I am providing therapy exclusively as a telehealth service via HIPAA-compliant online video conferencing (Zoom). I hope to provide in-person psychotherapy again in the future.
